Hey Team,

It’s “Whatever Wednesday” time. With the start of every season come new members, some who have never met me and some who may have heard or seen me on social media. I tend to get a lot of praises and congratulatory comments, people telling me I’m a “beast” or that I’m their inspiration and although I love hearing it all it’s something that is hard to get used to because it wasn’t that long ago that I was on the other side of those comments. I’ve turned into a bit of a gym rat and health enthusiast within the span of a year! I see all of the changes in my body and I’m aware that I can do a lot more in the gym but I really don’t think that I’m doing more than what everyone is capable of doing. 100 leg lifts, 100 sit ups, 100 push ups, sprints… we can all do them! Some of us might be able to do them a little faster but we all start somewhere. It’s encouraging really, when other people notice your hard work because you see that other people are watching so then there’s that added pressure. Good pressure, motivating pressure, a need to succeed kind of pressure. I’m not gonna lie, there have been times when I’m struggling during the workouts and want to call it quits but then someone gives me a compliment and it gives me that little push to keep going. As you’re improving your quality of life and losing weight, you’re gonna have people tell you how great you look and praise you on your workout ethic. Use it as a motivation to keep going and don’t forget to give YOURSELF credit for your accomplishments, no matter how big or small they are.
